Everyone is a light. A light that has something to shine, something to offer, something to give. Every student, colleague, and member of your PLN. Everyone. The biggest mistake one can make is to dim their own light, feeling it has nothing to offer the world.
It’s not a tech tool, a device, or a shortcut. But, it’s the most important thing I learned at ISTE. My iphone is filled with photos of “lights” that I met in San Antonio. Those who send out rays of encouragement, positivity, push my thinking, and keep me on the consistent path to “better.” A path that, at times, I might lose sight of or have trouble seeing, but a path that is always brighter when traveled with the light of others.
