Punctuation. The four types of sentences. I learned them. Every year for like ten years throughout school. But the mark at then end of your life? I think we tend to float around, accepting a question mark. But, everyone, every kid, has something inside that is their exclamation point. A bold declaration to the world of what they believe in. If you say something, stand behind it. If you do something, believe in it. Live with an exclamation point.
Teach with an exclamation point. Be a living example to every kid who passes through the door of your classroom and the walls of your school that everyone’s life has a bold point, a bigger purpose, and something that matters to the world.
Sure, we can still teach kids to write, but we also need to teach kids how to live. Learn. Dream. Or, should I say Live! Learn! Dream! :)
