It’s so easy to get caught up in yesterday. Wishing we had done something different. Wishing we had made another choice. Wishing we knew the exact steps to take next. But, it’s more important to get caught up in today. Knowing that right now, in front of us, is an opportunity to make a difference. An opportunity to do something. It’s great to reflect, but we also need to recognize the here and now. Connect with those around us. Reach out to those who need it. Remember that whatever steps we take, to take them confidently. Sure, there is always tomorrow. But today? Today is the only today we’ll ever have. So if we put all we can into it? We’ll wake up tomorrow knowing we did our best, used it wisely, and those wishes we have? They might just come true.
Yesterday was day 2 of the #EDUGOOD Photo Project and the theme was “Calm.” I stepped outside on the cold concrete in my front yard, and saw the most brilliant sky in front of me. A sky I would have missed if not for looking for the good in the project. That sky just had to be a poster. A reminder to see today, every single day.
