Remember that feeling when you were 8, and you’d coast down a hill on your bike? The smell of fresh grass. The wind streaming through your hair. You laughing, out loud, because it really was that much fun? Then? Your tire hit a crack in the road and slid in the loose gravel. Wipeout. A band-aid later, you were back on the bike, doing it all over again.
That hill? Your poured yourself into it. Fear. Joy. Hope. Fun. Ouch. Repeat.
When’s the last time you poured yourself into something like that? Something that was so important to you, even the fear couldn’t stop you. If you can’t remember that feeling, maybe it’s time.
What if 2014 is the year you go all in? Do what you love. Pour yourself in. Passion. Share what you believe, even when you are afraid. Help others, even when you aren’t sure if you have anything left to give. Keep going, even when it’s rocky. Laugh at the good parts. Learn from the wipe-outs. Try not to ride the brakes, because you might miss out.
All in.
Happy 2014.
