2013 was a year I didn’t see coming. A year of unbelievable blessing and challenging change. At the end of it, as I look through my Instagrams, tweets, status updates, and blog posts, I realize how it has changed me, and how even the hardest of days served a purpose. It started off with a phone call to my classroom from NASA. It was the year I left a school family I love, a year my daughter found her place in the world, and a year that I’ve been blessed with a staff and students filled with passion for learning, passion for teaching, and a new purpose for myself.
Wishing you all, around the world, the best wishes for a safe and happy new year. This little reflection space has brought me a place to speak freely, to reflect, to connect, and to learn. A little something we all need, because we are all still learning. Something I’m beyond grateful for. Every single year is a new journey. One that probably won’t be easy, but hopefully one you can look back on at the close and see the good. The good that will carry you into the next year. I certainly can this year.
