Less is More

Less time talking about society’s lack of appreciation for teachers, more time invested in celebrating each other’s accomplishments. Less feeling like teaching is a competition, and more feeling like we are all in this to become better together. Less complaints about staff meetings, and more discussions about how to use those meetings for real learning. Less focus on talking about the things we cannot change, and more focus doing things we can change. Less doing what’s always been done, and more doing what works for kids because it works. Less expensive PD pushed over a district, more free and open collaboration that doesn’t cost a cent. Less negativity, more positivity. Less “I’m just a teacher,” and more “I’M A TEACHER!”
